Purpose: The Lead Operator and the Operators ensure planning preparation and execution of the plant operation during commissioning, trial run and acceptance testing of Combined Cycle Power Plant with 9HA Gas Turbine in Single Shaft Arrangement.
- Responsible for safe operation of the systems during cold and hot commissioning of the Combined Cycle Power Plants:
- - Takeover of the systems from construction
- - Correctness and completeness of loop checks and instrument calibration/adjustment
- - Flushing of systems, function group start up and adjustments
- - Preparation and execution of plant tests and performance tests and reliability run
- Ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with the site EHS plan requirements and specifically defined safe systems of work.
- The personnel assigned to him/her are fully acquainted with the site‑specific rules, safety regulations and environmental protection measures and that they perform their work accordingly.
- Deviations from the agreed goals are reported and that corrective measures are initiated by arrangement, and support of the Commissioning Lead Engineers, the Manager and the Site Manager.
- Any kind of operation of equipment is performed in a safe and timely manner
- Maintaining a logbook according the instructions by the Commissioning Lead Engineers, the Manager and the Site Manager.
- Perform periodic equipment field inspections and shift rounds
- Organize and supervise the safe operation of the plant (site rules, safety regulations, shift plan, shift log, etc.) from system turnover from erection until PAC by arrangement with the Commissioning Lead Engineers, the Manager and the Site Manager.
- Advise the Commissioning Lead Engineers, the Manager and the Site Manager of any information that could influence the commissioning time schedule and/or the commissioning staff planning.
- Provide information to the Commissioning Lead Engineers, the Manager and the Site Manager for reporting purposes.
- Provide, on request, technical experience feedback to project engineering departments during debriefing meeting(s) to be organized by the project.
- Train the customer staff in operation and maintenance as instructed by the Commissioning Lead Engineers, the Manager and the Site Manager.
- Manage, perform, coordinate, and monitor the operation of the specified systems by arrangement the Commissioning Lead Engineers, the Manager and the Site Manager.
- Perform operation according to the specifications and engineering documents, taking into account the safety instructions, environmental protection measures and local regulations.
- Ensure that commercial and technical deviations are reported to the Commissioning Lead Engineers, the Manager and the Site Manager.
- Keep a diary to record daily work, occurrences, problems, special information, etc. plus a list of pending items.
- Manage, supervise and co‑ordinate personnel assigned to him/her.
- Support and train other Operators assigned to him/her.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Operation experience and strong process knowledge of Combined Cycle Power Plants with GE HA Gas Turbines. Operation experience on Steam Turbine Power Plants or Gas Turbine Power Plant is mandatory.
- Operation experience of GE Mk6e HMIs/Functional Groups / Auto Sequence concepts.
- Operation experience and understanding of GE Shaft line Functional Groups (lube oil, EHC, generator H2/CO2)
- Experience in GE HMI.
- Strong analytic and problem‑solving capability.
- Willing to travel worldwide for long term assignments.
- Willing to work shifts (including nights and weekends).
- Fluent in spoken and written English and German.
- International Driving License.
