A day in a life of a Sensory Panel Leader
- As a Sensory Specialist (m/f/d), you will play a critical role in the selection and application of sensory methods to guide innovation on a variety of projects.
- Additionally, you will take charge of guiding and leading our trained sensory panelists, ensuring high-quality quantitative descriptive sensory studies.
- Your expertise in data collection is paramount. You meticulously execute panel performance analyses, from handling raw data to conducting final data checks, to ensure consistency and repeatability throughout the process.
- Applying your logical and analytical mindset, you analyze and concisely summarize sensory results, drawing valuable conclusions from tests.
- Utilizing your skills in result interpretation, you construct comprehensive reports that effectively connect sensory data with product and process variables. You confidently present your findings to stakeholders and provide relevant business recommendations.
- In addition to leading parts of projects, you proactively propose methods or innovative approaches to facilitate impactful results.
- Sharing knowledge and expertise is a crucial aspect of your role. You will have the opportunity to create and lead training courses for various product categories, contributing to the continuous development and growth of our team.
What will make you successful
- You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in food science or other related field.
- You will have gained several years of relevant work experience in statistical analysis, insight generation, and impactful reporting. Your experience in quantitative descriptive panel training and moderation is a plus.
- Your stakeholder management aligns with your strong written and oral communication skills.
- You feel comfortable using MS Office programs including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook as well as sensory and statistical software.
- In addition, you are fluent in both English and German.
