Job Summary

We are hiring for a position located in Austria for NetApp’s Azure Cloud Solutions Architect (CSA) team to operate in a pre-sales capacity, working to identify candidate workloads, design and architect appropriate solutions, run proofs-of-concept, and move customers into active consumption of NetApp’s Azure-based products. In this role, you’ll be responsible alongside 2 other CSAs for the DACH market (1 local German CSA) and a portion of the French market (1 local French CSA).

Much of the customer engagement will be collaborative with Microsoft Sales and Technical teams, providing technical expertise on Cloud services offered by NetApp and Azure. The candidate must be able to articulate how our technology enables customer innovation in Azure.

This is a highly technical role with a focus on customer and partner (Microsoft) interaction, education, and collaboration, placing you at the heart of our customers’ digital transformation efforts.

About Us

We are part of the global Cloud Solutions Architect team within NetApp’s Public Cloud Services business unit, tasked with driving customer adoption of our Microsoft Azure cloud services. Our teams implement and scale Cloud and software services, exceeding sales goals. We pride ourselves on agility, adaptability, and continuous process improvement.

Job Requirements

• Strong technical knowledge of Cloud concepts and technologies, especially Microsoft Azure (Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification preferred).
• A passion for solving customer business challenges with Cloud solutions.
• Personal initiative and motivation to achieve customer success independently.
• Experience working with customers within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new requirements and technologies.
• Experience in running proofs-of-concept for software, hardware, or Cloud solutions in pre-sales roles.
• Knowledge of NAS storage (preferably NetApp) and application workload utilization in Cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Container orchestration (preferably Kubernetes).
• On-premises infrastructure and data migration experience is a plus.
• Willingness to travel within the geography.
• Excellent communication skills in English and French or German.

• Designing solutions, conducting technical workshops.
• Presenting at customer and partner meetings.
• Running proofs-of-concept.
• Handover to Professional Services or Customer Success teams.
• Participating in industry meet-ups and publishing best practices.
• Continuous learning and industry awareness.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree plus 6-8 years of related experience.
• Microsoft Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator, Infrastructure Solutions, or Network Engineer are a plus.
