Role overview

Lead the engineering of a new operator platform built around distributed services and high-volume transaction processing. You will make architecture decisions, establish scalable and cost-efficient patterns, and contribute hands-on across application development, data flows, deployment automation, and observability. The work involves complex low-latency systems, large-scale data processing, and a modern cloud-native stack.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a new microservices-based system with a focus on scalability, reliability, and operating cost.
  • Apply sound architecture and engineering practices to services handling high throughput and demanding latency requirements.
  • Build REST and GraphQL APIs and select caching approaches that improve response times.
  • Design data partitioning and data-offloading strategies for large or rapidly growing datasets.
  • Configure delivery pipelines, automated checks, code-coverage reporting, and Helm-based deployments.
  • Create and maintain Grafana dashboards, monitoring views, and operational alerts.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of professional Java development experience, including architecture design.
  • Experience with low-latency, high-throughput systems, multithreading, non-blocking I/O, and microservice development.
  • Strong knowledge of the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Hibernate.
  • Experience with REST, GraphQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, SQL, and relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL and distributed data technologies including Cassandra, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis, BigQuery, or Bigtable.
  • Working knowledge of AWS, Terraform, GitLab, Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK-based observability.

Benefits and work setup

  • Flexible remote, office, or hybrid arrangements without time tracking, with generally flexible working hours.
  • Paid vacation and sick leave, plus additional emergency and special-occasion leave.
  • Annual health-expense budget, parental support, and performance-related bonuses.
  • English classes, learning support, and assistance with conferences and seminars.
  • Career development through internal promotion, a low-bureaucracy environment, and no expected overtime.
  • Tools and technical resources provided, with opportunities to collaborate in a multicultural setting.
