Your role:
- We are looking for a Supply Chain Manager
- You will report to the Unit Manager and Deputy Unit Manager
Key responsibilities:
- Operational Management
- Perform accurate inventory every 10 days and capture it on WR
- Ensure that the storekeepers issue stock as per the requirements on theoutput form
- Monitors the temperature of all stores and reports unacceptable deviationsimmediately to avoid damaged product.
- Operates with due regard to the safety of all personnel and products.
- Completes all documentation within the required time and maintains allrecords.
- Ensure that the output form system is correctly managed
- Ensure all products in stores are set as per Winrest Requirements.
- Flag stock that is due to expire to avoid it being expired and un-used
- Ensure that the wastage report is done daily and captured on WR
- Ensure that all required training are done on time for relevant employees andtraining records maintained.
- RECEIVING OPERATIONS:
- Ensure that the goods are received at the correct quantity
- Ensure that the goods are received at the agreed price
- Ensure that goods are received at the correct temperatures
- Ensure that goods are received at the best quality
- Ensure that goods are rejected if the criteria is not met
- Ensure credit notes are requested for rejected goods
- Ensure that all administration work for receiving, is up to date and providedto Finance for billing purposes
- Ensure all receipt notes are captured accurately on WR
- Ensure that goods are dispatched timeously once received, to the correctstores
- Maintain and enforce work procedure
- BUYING:
- Must have some contribution to Food Cost Reduction
- Must ensure that stock is purchased in order to meet the business needs andkeeping a constant check on stock levels
- Ensure the Winrest system is used effective for purchasing and any anomalieis reported accordingly
- To ensure that best price, rebates and quality is procured and secured fromreputable suppliers.
- Work closely with the Purchasing Manager to ensure that there is no orminimum shortage levels.
- If there is a shortage of product, all relevant parties must be informedimmediately, including the airline
- Further ensure that substitute products are sourced and recommended,during a shortage situation.
- Ensure that all relevant invoices are reconciled and captured on WRaccordingly
- HR Management
- Oversee the coordination and administrative management of staff in theirdepartment using dedicated IT tools (scheduling, tracking of work hours, andhandling of irregularities).
- Develop staff schedules (permanent and temporary employees) based ondepartmental needs using the software and in accordance with currentregulations.
- Forward relevant information to site management (sick leave, vacation requestforms, medical visits, attendance sheets, schedules, etc.).
- Ensure the smooth operation of the department by complying with allapplicable regulations and company agreements (break times, weekly restperiods, working time agreements, vacation scheduling)
- Lead a team and ensure its professional development and efficiency.
- Conduct performance reviews and, when necessary, disciplinary interviews.
- Manage a team by ensuring compliance with issued guidelines and currentprocedures.
- Ensure the integration of new temporary and/or permanent employees.
- Ensure that company and Newrest procedures are properly understood andapplied.
- Collaborate and communicate with teams to ensure team cohesion.
- Ensure that reports regarding incidents involving Newrest equipment areprepared (vehicles, phones, printers, etc.).
- HYGIENE, SAFETY AND QUALITY
- Ensure operations teams comply with Group hygiene and safety regulations,HACCP standards, and Newrest Group procedures.
- Apply and enforce hygiene and food safety principles, including HACCP andinternal non-negotiable standards.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, transportation, and traceability of products.
- Ensure all PPE is worn consistently and correctly at all times.
- Apply and enforce the company allergens policy.
- Maintain and service production equipment and vehicle fleet using Grouptools (Fractal or other systems).
- Ensure the smooth execution of all hygiene and quality audits within the areaof responsibility (e.g. Intertek audits).
- Master and enforce all Newrest Group procedures, as well as client-specificprocedures (COBM).
- Ensure strict compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental(QHSE) standards and all applicable food safety, security, and regulatoryrequirements.
- Contribute actively to a safe and secure working environment by identifyingrisks, reporting incidents, and implementing preventive and correctiveactions.
- Promote a strong QHSE culture (I CARE) by ensuring adherence toprocedures, clear communication of guidelines, and effective use of companytools and systems.
