  • Lead, coach and develop a team of six commercial people.
  • Define and execute the global product and portfolio strategy across the diagnostics portfolio.
  • Own product lifecycle management from market assessment and product development through launch, growth, optimisation and discontinuation.
  • Identify new product and market opportunities based on customer demand, competitive activity, clinical need and commercial potential.
  • Develop product roadmaps, business cases, revenue forecasts, pricing strategies and launch plans.
  • Lead global product launches and commercialisation strategies across international markets.
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing on product positioning, value propositions, sales enablement and go-to-market strategy.
  • Partner cross-functionally with R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Clinical, Operations and commercial teams.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of customer requirements, market trends and competitor activity across the diagnostics industry.
  • Ensure the product management team has clear ownership, objectives and development plans.
  • Represent Product Management at senior leadership level and influence strategic investment and portfolio decisions.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience within the diagnostics industry is essential.
  • Significant experience within product management, portfolio management or commercial product leadership.
  • Proven people leadership experience, ideally managing and developing a team of Product Managers.
  • Strong understanding of diagnostic products, customers, laboratory workflows and commercial market dynamics.
  • Experience taking diagnostic or scientific products through development, launch and lifecycle management.
  • Strong commercial understanding, including market assessment, positioning, pricing, forecasting and competitive strategy.
  • Experience working across functions including R&D, Regulatory, Quality, Sales and Marketing.
  • International experience within diagnostics would be highly advantageous.
  • Experience within ISH, IHC, molecular diagnostics, pathology, oncology, NGS or genomics is advantageous but not essential.
  • Fluent German and English are essential.
  • Ability to spend approximately one week per month in Hamburg, Germany.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific, business or related discipline; an advanced scientific degree or MBA would be advantageous.
