Intro

For our location in Freiburg in Breisgau, we are looking for a Junior Engineer (m/f/d).

At NexWafe, we are developing a pioneering process to produce silicon wafers for PV applications with fewer process steps, leading to significant reductions in production costs, energy consumption, and COâ‚‚ emissions.

As a Junior Engineer (m/f/d), you will have a unique opportunity to actively contribute to the commercialization of this breakthrough technology. You will support the continuous improvement of the production cost and yield of the pilot APCVD production tool.

Your Mission

  • Plan and execute experiment runs on APCVD pilot tool and create reports on that experiment.
  • Create or revise work instructions to ensure they promote safety, consistency, and quality in production.
  • Conduct training sessions for employees on new work instructions and safety procedures.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions together with the maintenance team to minimize downtime.
  • Manage process changes, excursion prevention, and quality enhancement projects.
  • Analyze process data to identify areas for improvement.

Your Profile

  • MSc in Physics or Chemistry, or a PhD in a relevant field.
  • At least 1 year experience within the semiconductor, solar or printed circuit board industry (preferred).
  • Good communication skills with proficiency in English.
  • A structured and organized work approach.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts.
