For our location in Freiburg im Breisgau, we at NexWafe are looking for Team Lead Mechanical Design Engineering (f/m/d).

Tasks
- Coordinate and prioritize engineering activates, lead design reviews, report to upper management.
- Leading innovative 3D/2D design concepts and creating precise manufacturing drawings.
- Collaborating closely with suppliers and stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable designs.
- Managing the testing, commissioning, and assembly of equipment, ensuring operational excellence.
- Driving continuous improvement by optimizing existing plants and evaluating new equipment.
- Applying material science knowledge for high-temperature caustic applications to select proper design materials and provide useful input in design reviews and team collaboration.
- Proactively managing supplier relationships and overseeing technical specifications for procurement.
- Utilizing advanced CAD skills and supporting the development of digital manufacturing documents.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong group leader skills
- Graphite vacuum furnace experience
- Large system design and integration experience
- Over 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
- Excellent communication skills with proficiency in English.
- Strong knowledge of the MS Office suite
