As an Automation Technician, you will take ownership of the maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of highly automated production systems within a modern manufacturing environment. In this role, you will act as a key technical specialist, ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of production equipment and automation systems. You will be responsible for identifying and resolving technical faults, performing preventive maintenance activities, and implementing control system modifications to support efficient and uninterrupted production processes. Your ability to combine electrical expertise, automation know-how, and analytical problem-solving skills will play a crucial role in maintaining operational excellence and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate closely with maintenance technicians, mechanics, engineers, and production teams to analyze equipment performance, identify root causes of technical issues, and implement sustainable solutions. A significant part of your work will involve maintaining and optimizing PLC-controlled systems, supporting upgrades to existing automation technologies, and ensuring that all technical documentation remains accurate and up to date. In addition, you will contribute to the ongoing improvement of manufacturing processes by identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, reliability, and system performance. Depending on your interests and experience, you may also support or lead smaller automation and engineering projects, coordinating technical activities from planning through implementation and commissioning. To succeed in this position, you bring a completed apprenticeship or technical qualification in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related discipline. Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting, particularly within Siemens environments, is considered a strong advantage. Knowledge of drive technology, industrial control systems, and production equipment will further support your success in this role. You are a proactive, self-motivated, and solution-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a structured approach to fault finding and problem resolution. You possess a high level of quality awareness, work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, and communicate clearly with technical and operational stakeholders. Good German language skills and confidence in using common PC applications and maintenance-related software systems are required. This position offers the opportunity to work in a technologically advanced production environment where you can actively contribute to the reliability, modernization, and continuous improvement of automated manufacturing processes. If you enjoy hands-on technical challenges, working with modern automation systems, and playing an important role in ensuring operational performance, this role provides an excellent opportunity to further develop your expertise within a collaborative and forward-thinking industrial environment.
