Are you an experienced Securities Transfer Specialist with strong knowledge of securities settlement and post-trade operations?
We are currently supporting a leading financial institution with a requirement for a Securities Transfer Specialist to join its operations team in Zurich.
Responsibilities
- Process, instruct and monitor global free-of-payment (FOP) securities transfers across equities, bonds and standard investment funds.
- Issue settlement instructions to domestic and international custodians and central securities depositories.
- Work with SWIFT MT540–MT543 messages and other settlement communication channels.
- Monitor outstanding transactions and proactively resolve pending settlements, discrepancies and settlement issues.
- Investigate settlement breaks, including position differences, transaction taxes and fees.
- Perform related booking and reconciliation activities.
- Communicate with counterparties, custodians and internal stakeholders regarding settlement-related matters.
- Manage inquiries and claims via email, shared mailbox and telephone hotline.
- Support the allocation and coordination of daily team activities.
Requirements
- Detailed knowledge of securities settlement and post-trade operations .
- Mandatory hands-on expertise with SWIFT MT540, MT541, MT542 and MT543 .
- Experience handling settlement discrepancies, reconciliations and post-trade issues.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Fluent German and English .
- Experience with SIS Portal, BBH Infuse and Clearstream Xact (CBL Xact) is advantageous.
