With fully autonomous stations for Stand-Up Paddle or Multisport, Equip aims at connecting sports and communities in three easy steps: simply reserve, grab and go!
Based in Rolle, Switzerland, on the shores of Lake Leman and at the foot of the Alps, Equip is expanding its network of self-service sports stations (HUBs) in public parks across Europe and North America - with over one million sessions logged and more than 450 active stations across 11+ cities.
Position Overview:
The Field Operations intern will directly support the Head of Operations in three key areas: deploying new HUBs, managing SUP stations in the field and in Lausanne, and overseeing external maintenance partners.
Duration: 3 to 6 months

Tasks
1. Deployment Mapping:
- Digital Mapping - identify potential parks, sports areas, and public spaces using Equip Scout
- Location Analysis - assess each site for visibility, accessibility, and community activity
- Mapping Validation - collaborate with the Sales team to build the Physical Mapping Deck and secure city approvals
- Field Pinning - place location pins on-site and follow up on approval workflows
2. Maintenance Field Operations:
- Equipment management - replace or repair defective parts; swap batteries and log replacements in the internal system
- Bi-weekly Lausanne visits - trial new station configurations in Lausanne and ensure continuity until a local partner is established
- Monthly SUP outing - lake tour as part of regular field operations
- SOP drafting - document key procedures including solar retrofit, battery installation, electrical enclosure replacement, and rollout processes
- Online station monitoring - daily remote checks to verify station status, availability, and platform display
- Issue escalation - identify and flag recurring technical or operational problems
3. Partner Management External Relations:
- Q3 partner check-ins and Padel club outreach - organize and conduct meetings with all active partners and share relevant product updates
- Partner performance analysis - evaluate collaborations and provide scale-up or exit recommendations
- Order Inventory management - handle partner orders and maintain accurate stock and equipment records
- Operational reporting - generate regular reports on partner and network performance
4. Administrative Back-Office Support:
- Administrative support - assist the Field Operations team with logistics and coordination tasks
- Invoice expense tracking - manage supplier invoices, verify maintenance costs, and maintain expense records
- Documentation - keep inventory, knowledge base, and reports up to date
- Process improvement - contribute to operational efficiency and reporting accuracy
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sports Management, or a related field
- Valid driver’s license to travel for operational needs, this may be within Switzerland or our neighboring countries
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both in the field and in the office
- Team player and able to collaborate interdepartmentally to ensure seamless operations and logistics
- Proficient with digital tools (Notion, Claude, Slack, Google Maps, mobile apps)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with outdoor sports products and passion for the industry
- Fluent English and French
