NIQ is a global consumer intelligence company focused on delivering comprehensive consumer insights and analytics across more than 100 markets.

You will join an international and collaborative team, based across the US, Germany, Poland, and Italy, and work on market research solutions with a strong focus on brand management.

Responsibilities Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and enhance data science solutions using software engineering best practices.

Study and convert data science prototypes into production-quality data science and machine learning solutions.

Implement machine learning solutions at a large scale in on-premises or cloud-based environments.

Create and improve methods and tools and contribute to best practices in data science.

Foster machine learning related knowledge exchange within NIQ, especially around code quality and engineering best practices.

Present NIQ’s machine learning engineering / data science expertise at conferences and workshops.

Qualifications Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or mathematics/statistics.

Typically 2+ years of related work experience.

Solid experience with production-level code quality metrics and collaboration with software and testing engineers.

Expert skills in Python and the statistical ecosystem.

Solid statistical skills: survey statistics (sampling, non-response adjustments, Bayesian statistics), econometric modelling (program evaluation, forecasting, economic theory, panel data), observational causal inference (potential outcomes, structural equation models, instrumental variables), or experimental design.

Experience working with Docker.

Soft Skills Ease of communication in an English-speaking business environment.

Well organized and flexible, demonstrating self-confidence, decisiveness and commitment.

Strong attention to detail and professionalism.

Strong analytical, mathematical thinking and problem-solving skills.
