Job Description

As a Manager, Business Development (SMB) you will be part of the Small Medium Business sales organization in NIQ and will collaborate with the respective market Sales Team to generate revenue for the products assigned for Small and Medium Clients in your respective market. To be successful in this role, you need to have a proven track sales record. You will be a team player that has a strong bias for action and an ability to ‘find a way’ to overcome barriers and challenges. As we are a global organization, you will build networks and work on assignments and opportunities across borders, which will require strong written and verbal communication skills. Existing/Previous knowledge and exposure to NIQ retail measurement data will be a plus.

Responsibilities

Commercial Leadership

  1. Delivery of business Sales Medium Business target and business results by championing a client-centric sales mindset;
  2. Drive and champion a sales and growth mindset within the organization;
  3. Develop a sales strategy and go-to-market execution plans, focusing on growing revenue in new clients along with former NIQ clients;
  4. Build and empower a team that is accountable for the delivery of business goals and targets;
  5. Develop the right offerings for SMB, the affordable price points to penetrate SMB clients.

Financial Acumen

  1. Own and manage SMB P&L in your respective market, delivering revenue and EBITDA targets;
  2. Build and deliver the SMB annual operating plan, achieving revenue and cost targets;
  3. Manage ongoing pipeline management, sales forecasts & sales meetings.

Client Leadership

  1. Build SMB client prospect database;
  2. Segment SMB clients by their data expertise & need state, to define relevant solutions that address their needs/ pain points;
  3. Work with Marcom to develop compelling content and campaigns specifically for SMB, to build awareness and generate qualified leads;
  4. Actively engage with clients & take ownership;
  5. Be the voice of the SMB client into NIQ, and the voice of NIQ into the client;
  6. Ensure client centricity and satisfaction.

Be an Ambassador

  1. Represent the NIQ brand in the SMB market, participating in external events and professional speaking engagements;
  2. Be a role model internally, participate in company events and activities.

A Little Bit About You

Curiosity drives your interest in what moves the market. A proven salesperson, who can build and execute sales strategy and plan, and be accountable for sales operations, such as forecast and pipeline management.

A team player, who has the ability to collaborate with peers and contribute to the management team of NIQ. You’ll be responsible for listening to, discovering, and understanding client needs to identify sales opportunities by leveraging NIQ’s unique value proposition.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in a related field;
  2. 3 – 5 years of working experience and proven sales results;
  3. Strategic sales and business development competency;
  4. Excellent client management and relationship-building skills and ability to converse with stakeholders in clients’ organizations, up to C-Suite level;
  5. Knowledge and understanding of strategy and the use of market data;
  6. Related industries include: Consumer Packaged Goods, Consultative Sales, B2B/SaaS Sales;
  7. Experience with Sales Tech is a plus;
  8. Master full sales process from lead generation to closing sales;
  9. Ability to communicate in local language is preferred.
