Tasks
- Localising English marketing content (including web and social media copy, videos and newsletters) into European Portuguese, in close collaboration with the senior Portuguese content marketing translator.
- Acting as Nintendo Portugal’s primary contact for queries relating to content localisation and implementation.
- Being responsible for quality assurance of Portuguese marketing copy, ensuring content is consistent, market-appropriate and in line with the Nintendo voice.
- Collaborating with product localisation department to ensure marketing copy accurately represents software; occasionally assisting with game localisation.
Requirements
- Extensive translation experience, preferably within content marketing or the games industry.
- Degree in translation, linguistics or related field.
- Native European Portuguese speaker, mastery of English language.
- Ability to multitask and to perform under pressure.
- Strong communicator and team player, skilled in liaising between a broad range of stakeholders.
- Knowledge of and passion for Nintendo IP as well as video games in general.
- Experience using CAT tools (SDL Trados, MemoQ) would be a plus.
- Experience with project management platforms such as Asana or Wrike are considered a plus.
