This role, based in the Munich area, offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a pioneering field. You will be instrumental in bridging decades of industry expertise with modern AI and software capabilities, driving innovation in digital automation and process optimization. The position features a flexible hybrid work model, requiring regular in-office presence in Munich approximately once per week.

As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for building and enhancing internal applications that digitalize and automate critical processes. Your work will directly contribute to shaping the future of industrial automation, working with a modern tech stack and a dynamic, forward-thinking team.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team to build and enhance internal applications for process digitization and automation.
• Develop React-based frontend applications that interact with various Django backends and microservices via REST APIs.
• Work within a container-based architecture, incorporating AI/ML modules and automated physics simulations.
• Contribute across the entire software development lifecycle, from gathering user requirements to implementation and final delivery.
• Engage closely with cross-functional departments to understand user needs and translate them into effective software solutions.

Eligibility & Requirements

• Education: A completed degree in a MINT (Mathematics, Informatics, Natural Sciences, Technology) field or an equivalent qualification.
• Professional Experience: Several years of hands-on experience in software development and web development.
• Technical Skills:
  • Profound knowledge of Python/Django (or alternative ORM tools, or extensive SQL experience).
  • Profound knowledge of JavaScript/React (or similar modern frontend frameworks).
• Soft Skills: Demonstrated team-player mentality, strong communication skills, and assertiveness.
• Working Style: Highly structured approach to work combined with a significant degree of self-initiative.
• Language Proficiency: Fluent in German (minimum C1 level) and English, both written and spoken.
• Location: Reside in the Munich area with the ability for regular in-office presence (approximately once per week).
