Infrastructure Engineer – Datacenter (m/w/d)
Location: Ulm. Immediate start.
Responsibilities
- Operation and monitoring of our datacenters (On‑Prem & Cloud)
- Administration of servers, virtualization (VMware), storage and backup (Veeam), and backup‑and‑disaster‑recovery concepts
- Analysis and resolution of incidents (2nd/3rd level)
- Capacity and performance management
- Planning and execution of maintenance and expansions
- Lifecycle management of datacenter infrastructure
- Ensuring availability, security and compliance (ISO27001)
- Co‑ordination and monitoring of external service providers in operations and project tasks
- Active contribution to the continuous improvement of datacenter operations through automation, standardization and modern technologies
Qualifications
- Completed studies in Computer Science, Fachinformatiker Systemintegration, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in the operation of datacenter and infrastructure environments
- Solid IT knowledge and experience in virtualization, networking, cloud operation – hybrid, storage, backup and monitoring
- Basic understanding of ISO27001, BSI Grundschutz, ITIL
- Experience with agile work methods
- Basic knowledge of transport logistics is a plus
- Strong analytical skills
- Independent, structured work style and team orientation
