Summary of the role

The main task of the Area Sales Manager Consumables Central Europe is to generate sustainable, predictable revenue growth using Nordson EFD’s consumables product portfolio to serve specific customer needs and create new opportunities based on Nordson’s extensive application knowledge in the given area.

Role and Responsibilities

  1. Develop strong relationships with our Top Customers, identifying all Buying Influences and maintaining an Account Plan for our Top Customers in order to achieve Leadership Level Performance targets on Top Customer Revenue Growth and New Top Product Revenue Growth.
  2. Constantly look for new opportunities to increase EFD’s share of wallet at our Top Customers by exploring new applications for our dispensers and consumables.
  3. Prioritize focus on Market Segments in Accelerated Growth and Market Growth as defined by EFD’s Strategic Discipline Element.
  4. Using our Growth Framework, ensure control and focus on key metrics of Top Customer revenue growth and Top New Product Introduction revenue growth by maximizing Sales Time.
  5. Work closely with your Line Manager to increase your Sales Competence Index year over year.
  6. Follow EFD’s Sales Process, ensuring each Opportunity is recorded in CRM with details on all Key Elements.
  7. Record any lost opportunities in CRM and report monthly using EFD’s templates.
  8. Work with marketing to organize tech days and roadshows, providing insights into relevant solutions to key problems.
  9. Develop solid product understanding to answer application-related questions on EFD’s products by the end of your first work anniversary.
  10. Provide bookings forecast using the company’s Sales Process metrics and identify gaps between target and plan.
  11. Actively participate in Annual Forecasting Process by identifying your territory main Sales Objectives.
  12. Provide Quarterly feedback to our Product Line and Market Development Managers on new trends or demands in fluid dispensing applications.

Skills and Qualifications

  1. Proper Education enabling performance (Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, Automation, Automotive, Material Science or Engineering, Sales, Business, Marketing or equivalent).
  2. Minimum of 5 years recent field sales experience in a B2B market.
  3. Fluency in German and English is essential.
  4. Knowledge of one major Eastern European Language is preferred.
  5. Excellent verbal communication and negotiation skills.
  6. Good analytical skills, able to deal with technical queries.
  7. Strategic thinking and skills to set & perform long-term actions.
  8. Able to manage work independently oriented on results.
  9. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and SAP.
  10. Team player approach and behavior.

Travel

50%, Frequent travel will be required across the Area which includes cross border travel within Europe.
