Asset Management Offshore Wind at Northland Power Europe includes Commercial Asset Management, Technical Asset Management, and Strategic Asset Management for the offshore wind portfolio. Within these areas, the Asset Management Offshore Wind is responsible for the operational offshore wind asset and supporting offshore wind projects that are under development or construction. The Asset Management Offshore Wind serves the following functions:
What you’ll do:
As Contract & Claim Manager within the Commercial Asset Management Team Offshore Wind, you will support the team and our Offshore Wind Assets in the day-to-day business and take responsibilities, especially in the area of contract and claim management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with legal, procurement, project management, operations, and engineering to maintain existing contracts and enter into new contracts either for our Offshore Wind Farms or for internal services delivered towards our Offshore Wind Farms.
- Define terms and conditions and ensure that technical scope is contractually embedded to secure risk- and cost-efficiency.
- Lead the commercial execution of contracts, including approving payments, allocating and reporting costs, and supporting the Commercial Managers for budget planning.
- Develop, negotiate, and execute variations and amendments, including defining related scope and conditions, negotiating costs.
- Execute claim management, including defect notification processes, claims preparation, and claims coordination in collaboration with the legal department.
- Create and maintain an overview of contracts and main commercial contractual parameters (e.g., warranties, securities, liabilities, etc.) together with the legal team.
- Support commercial teams in the optimization of contracts, risks, costs, and processes.
- Identify risks and opportunities arising out of contracts and proactively address them to the risk and opportunity management process.
- Ensure strong communication with the Asset Managers of the respective Offshore Wind Asset.
- Collect and spread lessons learned across the company.

- Flexible: You are agile in your approach and thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You recognize the simultaneous need for rigorous adherence to process and the flexibility to adapt to inevitable changes along the way.
Qualifications and experience:
- Relevant technical, legal, or commercial education.
- Good negotiation and management skills.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience with contract and claim management, preferably in offshore wind or similar projects.
- Fluent in German and able to professionally communicate in English (verbal and written).
- Comfortable flagging problems when they arise and asking for help when needed.
- Ability to be proactive while working remotely or independently.
- Team player and strong communicator with internal and external parties.
