Position Overview:
The Procurement and Contract Management Lead will hold overall responsibility for project procurement and contract management activities. The role will lead the procurement and contract management team during the construction phase of a major offshore wind farm project.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Procurement team, allocate work and monitor performance
- Define and implement procurement and contract management processes
- Represent procurement function in project finance and commercial matters
- Ensure procurement teams‘ cooperation and communication with package management team
- Coordinate with legal team on resource and support requirements
- Ensure procurement guidelines and processes are followed by project team
Tasks:
- Manage procurement and contract related interfaces and activities
- Continuous cooperation with other work streams, packages, and other departments
- Monitor procurement and contract time schedules and timelines
- Support contract managers in supplier negotiations in procurement, contract management, and claims resolution
- Facilitate cooperation/coordination between Package managers and Contract Managers
- Coordinate preparation of the contracts and agreements drafts
- Ensure good practice and compliance measures are adhered to throughout contract procurement and execution
- Support Contract Managers in contracts negotiation and initial escalation
- Ensure the use of procurement process to drive most economically advantageous outcomes
- Ensure processes are defined and utilized for conducting tender evaluation process with Package managers
- Ensure processes are defined and utilized for conducting commercial evaluations
- Allocate responsibilities to Contract Managers
- Evaluate performance of Contract Managers and support them to achieve goals
- Monitor and report the project exposure to commodity market pricing changes
- Monitor and report the project’s commitment and liabilities
- Report summary of package progress and status of claims
- Ensure use of Contract trackers to plan and monitor execution of contracts
- Work with legal team to support contract execution queries and disputes

Qualifications and Experience
- Significant experience within a procurement role in the offshore wind industry
- Experience as a procurement lead role in a major offshore wind project
- Experience of negotiating, managing contracts and disputes
- Willingness to travel bi-weekly is required
- Fluency in English is required
