We’re seeking a passionate Contracts Manager to join our innovative Team at Northvolt Drei, one of Germany’s first large-scale battery gigafactories located in Heide. You’ll play a vital role in scaling operations at this groundbreaking facility, which will be powered entirely by renewable wind energy.

About The Job

As a Contracts Manager you will be a part of the Construction team; implementing contract strategy while directly spearheading the construction of our facilities from a greenfield to a commissioned building. You will safeguard Northvolt through proper contract management, minimising project risks through application of best commercial and contractual management practices.

About The Team

You will be an integral part of the Project Team and work intimately with the Program, Project Management, Engineering and Procurement teams. You will also manage and support a team of Contract Specialists and carry out the contract management of all construction projects on the Northvolt Drei site in Heide, Germany.

Key Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

1. Management of all Construction Contracts and support the team in administering during Construction.
2. Facilitate Contract/Construction Kick-off and weekly contract progress meetings
3. Evaluate monthly progress claims, expedite approvals, payments and contractor variation claims
4. Preparation of contractual letters and maintain contract correspondence log/register
5. Utilising and continuous updating of Northvolt’s Contract Administration system to reflect the current status of the contracts
6. Proactive contractor compliance management, generation of progress reports and supporting documents in a timely manner

Skills & Requirements
We believe that you have :

1. A degree in BsC/MSc in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent
2. 3+ years of technical experience in all cost management areas, planning, estimating, pre-contract, post contract and final account.
3. Proficient in MS suite
4. Passion and enthusiasm for project Execution, Construction and Commercials
