Overview

In this role you will ensure reliable, GMP-compliant operation and continuous improvement of DCS/PLC automation in a modern pharmaceutical production setting. You will collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality and external partners to implement changes and support projects from design to handover. The position blends hands-on operation with lifecycle management, documentation, and continuous learning in a digital plant environment. Verantwortungsbereiche

  • Operate, support, and maintain DCS/PLC systems in a GMP environment
  • Serve as technical contact for automation systems and support production during operation and troubleshooting
  • Design and implement automation changes in line with quality, safety and compliance
  • Identify and implement improvements to boost equipment availability and reduce production cycle time
  • Execute and support automation projects from design to handover
  • Create and maintain compliant technical and lifecycle documentation
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality and external partners

Zentrale Anforderungen

  • Technical education or degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or similar field
  • Hands-on experience with DCS/PLC in industrial manufacturing
  • Experience in GMP-regulated environments or regulated production requirements
  • Ability to support stable operation, maintenance and lifecycle management of automation systems
  • Experience with incident analysis and troubleshooting in production-critical environments
  • Familiarity with change management processes (documentation, testing, controlled implementation)
  • Understanding of qualification and validation activities for automation systems
  • Experience supporting audits, inspections, deviations, and CAPAs from a technical perspective
  • Structured, reliable working style with emphasis on quality, safety, and compliance
  • Interest in digital tools, data analytics or AI-supported manufacturing solutions
  • Willingness to continuously learn and adopt new tools, technologies, and ways of working
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Maintenance, IT)
  • Good English and German communication skills
