Job Description Summary This is a temporary contractor opportunity offered through Magnit Global in partnership with Hays. The selected candidate will provide services to Novartis as the end client, not as an employee of Novartis, and will not be eligible for Novartis employee benefits or incentives.
The Novartis Compound Management Group at Biomedical Research (BR) maintains the BR compound collection and supports screening and lead optimization projects across the drug discovery network by providing flexible access to a sample collection of >1.5 million compounds. We seek a motivated recent graduate with a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in organic chemistry or biology to support compound handling, stock solution production, automated processes, and global logistics.
Major Accountabilities
Support of the stock solution production process
Help with weighing out and rapid delivery of compounds to Disease Areas for biological and chemical testing
Support project teams with weighing and liquid transfer of building block solutions
Operate automated systems (powder store, plate production)
Support global shipping logistics
Minimum Requirements
Recent Master’s graduate or recent Bachelor’s graduate in organic chemistry or biology
Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative and dynamic international team
High degree of independence
Strong quality and customer focus with a clear sense of accountability
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; German an advantage
Workload 40 hours/week

Contract 6-month contract with an extension of additional 6 months
