We are looking for an experienced R&D Engineering Manager to join an international industrial technology business in Germany.
This is an exciting opportunity for an engineering professional who enjoys leading people, driving product development and transforming technical challenges into innovative, practical solutions.
You will lead an experienced engineering team, oversee product development activities and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to improve product performance, quality and manufacturing efficiency.
Your Role
- Lead, mentor and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team, fostering collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Oversee R&D and product development activities, from design and technical validation to product improvements and lifecycle management.
- Define engineering priorities, coordinate resources and ensure effective project execution.
- Drive innovation, value engineering, cost optimisation and product performance improvements.
- Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Operations and Product Management.
- Support technical decision-making, engineering changes and complex problem-solving.
- Promote engineering excellence, process improvements and effective knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to the continuous development of engineering capabilities and best practices.
What You Bring
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related technical discipline.
- Solid professional experience in R&D, Product Development, Engineering or a similar technical environment.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams, technical projects or multidisciplinary initiatives.
- Strong understanding of product development processes, manufacturing environments and engineering methodologies.
- Ability to combine strategic thinking with practical technical expertise.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A structured, solution-oriented approach and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Professional proficiency in German and English.
Experience in industrial components, electromechanical products, precision engineering or related manufacturing technologies would be an advantage.
