E&I Inspector
Summary
We’re looking for an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Inspector to join a major project in Wesseling, Germany. This role is site-based and ideal for someone with strong inspection knowledge in electrical and instrumentation within the petrochemical, oil, and gas sector. If you have proven expertise and are fluent in German, this is an excellent opportunity to be part of a significant construction project.

Based on site in Wesseling, Germany
100% site-based role
Open to self-employed candidates with the existing right to work in Germany
Client Overview
Our client is engaged in delivering a large-scale engineering project and requires a skilled professional to ensure compliance with quality standards across electrical and instrumentation disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily electrical, instrumentation, and telecom construction activities in line with project codes and standards
- Inspect and approve incoming materials and equipment including document control and quality paperwork submission
- Monitor quality requirements and resolve site quality issues
- Participate in inspection and test plans; ensure results are uploaded to the Completions Management System
- Support preparation of quality records and HSSE programme objectives
- Monitor contractor/vendor performance for compliance with quality goals
- Provide coordination and support for construction management teams, contractors, vendors, and client personnel
- Deputise for the Quality Lead as required
Must-have Requirements
- Fluent in written and spoken German with good English communication skills
- Experience in the petrochemical, oil, and gas industry in a quality-focused role
- Strong technical background in electrical and instrumentation
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Word)
- Quality certification in electrical and instrumentation
- Ability to consult and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Nice-to-have Skills
- Further education quality qualification (preferred)
- Experience with completions management systems
