Opportunity for a Project Manager to work with the Life Science Team in Germany. The Project Manager will lead technically challenging project(s) and be responsible for the delivery of a section of works. The Project Manager is a senior site leader with overall responsibility for project delivery, including but not limited to financial performance of the contract (with support from the QS).
The key responsibilities include coordinating all aspects of the Contract, Preconstruction, Design, Procurement, and Build functions to ensure the project meets client expectations. The Project Manager will adhere to all relevant standard operating procedures and the client’s HSEQS policy. Additionally, they will prepare and maintain the Project Execution Plan (PEP) and identify opportunities to add value or increase profitability through effective project delivery.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare the project programme, method statements, and submissions.
- Produce the contract programme, working with the Estimating Department during the bid stage.
- Ensure the Health, Safety & Environmental plan and project resources reflect the scope and schedule, including temporary works.
- Instruct the QS to agree on major preliminary items expenditure, including plant and accommodation.
- Chair start-up and production meetings, working with the Regional Director to allocate skilled team members.
- Lead all aspects of Project Team functions, including PEP, Risk & Commercial Success, Financials, HSEQS, Stakeholder Management, Project Administration, Design Management, and Project Close Out.
- Manage consultant and subcontract design activities as required, including delivery of the BIM strategy.
- Compile and implement the Project Execution Plan.
Qualifications:
- Academic and/or professional qualification in a construction-related subject; ideally chartered.
- CSCS for Managers, SMSTS, CDM/PSCS certifications.
- Awareness of BBS, Root Cause Analysis, and other safety management tools.
- Participation in Q10 internal workshops.
- Experience with Planning and Temporary Works.
- Knowledge of PEP and Contracts Management.
