NTT DATA is currently looking for a Principal Sales Lead – Application Services (f/m/d) remote + client-related travel within DACH region for our growing team in Germany. Overview As Principal Sales Lead – Application Services (f/m/d), you will drive the growth of Custom Application offerings and provide subject matter expertise to our clients. This critical role identifies and researches potential clients, engages with prospects, describes our services and closes sales. You will leverage your deep industry knowledge and expertise to understand customer needs and apply consultative selling techniques to lead the definition of solutions and proposals. Our approach is highly collaborative and often requires orchestration and execution across an array of client and internal personnel, building deep and lasting relationships along the way. Job Responsibilities Providing Digital sales technical expertise for the development and implementation of complex digital products/applications/solutions. Sales, Deal Strategy, Solution development, and Digital Transformation. Leverage deep industry knowledge to build relationships, understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions that drive revenue and customer success. Engage with prospects and existing clients through consultative selling techniques to uncover pain points and business needs, guiding them to the best possible solutions that align with their objectives. Work closely with the solution team and practice experts to develop customized solutions that address client-specific challenges. Define the client value and relevance of solution for client using industry-relevant KPIs. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, challenges and opportunities to provide insightful guidance and strategic advice on the industry for technology, product and business clients. Build and maintain lasting relationships with clients and partners by understanding focus and needs, and anticipating them in advance. Assisting in assessing potential application of company digital products to meet client needs and may prepare detailed digital product specifications for the development and implementation of client products/applications/solutions. Supporting NTT DATA’s client/enterprise product sales efforts through consultative selling activities. Basic Qualifications Multiple years of experience in Consulting or IT Services industries sales (Solution Sales). Multiple years of experience negotiating, shaping, and closing large deals in the Professional Services space. Several years of experience selling Custom Application Development, Application Architecture, Cloud Migration & Legacy Modernization services/solutions. Multiple years of Cross-industry experience with strong understanding of technology or operations landscape. Fluent in both German and English language (both oral and written) – must have Preferred Skills Bachelor\’s degree or equivalent (ideally minimum 12 years) work experience. Proven experience leading large, complex, strategic sales opportunities. Ability to engage and build relations with senior leadership at Fortune 500 organizations. Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to oversee and inspire multiple teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Attributes include strategic thinking, teamwork, ability to influence, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a high level of professionalism and strong attention to detail. Must have an expanded breadth of business experience driving deal shaping & origination. Ability to interact with senior leadership at a client and/or within NTT DATA. The role will be remotely from your home office located within Germany, with client-related travel as and when required within the DACH region.
