Overview
As Head of Legal DACH/General Counsel, you lead the cross-company legal function in the DACH region, shaping strategy and ensuring integration with business processes. You provide strategic legal guidance to boards and executives, promote risk governance, and standardize practices across the subregion. You collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align legal priorities with corporate goals, and drive continuous improvement through digitalization and process optimization. This role offers an opportunity to influence governance and elevate the value of the legal function within a global platform.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Shape corporate strategy and lead the legal function within the DACH region
- Provide comprehensive legal advice to boards and executives on corporate, contract, labor, and regulatory issues in DACH
- Develop and monitor uniform standards and best practices for the sub-region
- Manage stakeholder relationships and communicate legal priorities to internal clients
- Promote integration of the regional legal function into the global operating model
- Identify and address legal risks; support compliance efforts across the organization
- Oversee resource planning and priority setting for the legal team
- Drive investments in digitalization, process optimization, and expanding legal capacity
- Support Legal Entity Reorganization (LER) initiatives in collaboration with TMO leadership
- Provide commercial support for customer contracts and large-scale projects
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Fully qualified lawyer licensed to practice in Germany
- Several years of experience in a senior legal role in an international company or renowned law firm
- Solid knowledge of civil, corporate, labor and commercial law in DACH
- Proven leadership with empathetic and inclusive management
- Experience establishing and managing legal department standards and processes
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage risk and develop governance structures
- Very good written and spoken German and English
