Business Development Manager

We are looking to hire a BDM for the German market to help grow our client base . The ideal candidate will have experience in selling consultancy services and solutions at the C-suite level. We are seeking candidates with experience in the energy industry (i.e., with an energy supplier, broker, or sustainability firm) or consulting industry.

NUS Consulting Group is an international energy management and sustainability consulting firm. We provide energy management and sustainability consulting services to some of the world\’s leading businesses and employ over 350 professionals around the world. We have had operations in Germany since 1966.

This is NOT a management position. In this role, you are responsible for generating sales opportunities, building a pipeline, making great presentations, and closing deals (i.e., the whole sales process ). Our compensation package offers a base salary and generously rewards performers who close deals and help build our business.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop a pipeline of prospects and sales opportunities;
  • Work with a small team of internal telemarketers;
  • Identify RFP opportunities and support the response/presentation process;
  • Meet with commercial, industrial, and major retail businesses to introduce NUS and our energy management and sustainability solutions;
  • Identify prospect\’s needs and secure information required to develop service proposals;
  • Present consulting service proposals and address any questions or concerns;
  • Support the conclusion of a services agreement; and
  • Achieve assigned annual client acquisition and revenue generation targets.

Qualifications

  • University Degree
  • 3+ years\‘ of energy-related or consulting business development experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of common CRM systems
  • Comfortable with LinkedIn marketing and networking
  • Focused and goal-oriented
  • Works well with others (i.e., team player)
