Overview
In this role you will translate customer requirements into secure JavaCard specifications and architect applets for car access, battery management, telematics, and payments. You will guide a diverse development team, ensure rigorous testing, and contribute to security certifications. You’ll work within a cross-functional environment to advance secure element technologies and automotive-grade solutions. This position combines hands-on design with strategic oversight to shape secure, mass-market JavaCard products.

- Translate market requirements into product specifications
- Design and develop secure JavaCard applets for car access, battery management, telematics, identification, payment and other services
- Ensure unit and system tests; support functional and security testing at external test houses
- Provide technical guidance to the development team
Zentrale Anforderungen
- 6+ years JavaCard Applet development experience for mass-market products
- Experience with compliancy certification of e.g. payment and eGovernment applications
- Solid understanding of Secure Element/smartcard internal workings
- Good understanding of cryptographic algorithms (DES, AES, RSA, ECC, PKCS)
- Strong communication skills, experience with diverse teams
- Experience in technically leading and steering multi-site software development teams
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
- Basic knowledge of automotive standards and procedures (IATF16949, FMEA, ASPICE, CMMI, ISO26262)
- Experience collaborating in cross-industry organizations (e.g. Car Connectivity Consortium) is a plus
