Compliance & Quality Manager
Location: Bavaria, Germany (Grafenwohr, Hohenfels, Ansbach)
Role: Lead all compliance and quality assurance functions across US military training installations in Bavaria, Germany. Reports to the Portfolio Manager and oversees regulatory compliance, quality control planning, and audit management within a major Defence contract supporting the 7th Army Training Command.
Responsibilities
- Manage compliance across personnel certification, installation access, food safety, environmental and HSE regulations
- Deliver and maintain a structured Quality Control Framework (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly cadence)
- Oversee client reporting (CDRs, PERSTAT, Monthly QA Reports)
- Drive corrective actions with target 95% closure within 30 days
- Lead internal audits and coordinate external audit readiness
- Maintain performance against KPIs (100% certification compliance, zero audit deductions, 90% inspection scores)
- Supervise HSE Representative and oversight of Site Coordinators
Key scope
- Regulatory compliance oversight across multiple domains
- Implementation of a 5-Tier Quality Control Framework
- Management of contractual reporting & deliverables
- Corrective action tracking and audit coordination
- KPI monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in QA/QC within Defence or government contracting
- Strong knowledge of US military regulations (e.g., TB MED 530, AR 30-22, OSHA)
- Experience managing multi-framework compliance environments
- Proven capability in audit processes, root cause analysis, and reporting
Qualifications
- Certifications: ServSafe Manager Certification (essential)
- Degree in Quality, Food Science, Environmental Health or related (preferred)
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor (or willingness to obtain)
- HACCP certification (or willingness to obtain)
- NEBOSH or equivalent HSE qualification (advantageous)
- Languages: Fluent English (essential); German (advantageous)
