We are seeking a Junior Web Developer to join our dynamic and growing ecommerce team. As a Junior Web Developer you will assist in developing, customising, and maintaining our Shopify stores. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for web development, ecommerce, and learning new technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will develop and customise Shopify themes to meet project requirements.
• You will implement responsive designs ensuring cross-browser compatibility.
• You will assist with the integration of third-party apps and APIs.
• You will collaborate with our designers and project managers to translate design mockups into fully functional Shopify websites.
• You will help support the team to optimise website performance and user experience.
• You can troubleshoot and resolve bugs or issues in Shopify stores.
• You will support the team in testing and quality assurance.
• You will stay updated with the latest Shopify features, apps, and industry best practices.

Your profile

Experience:

• You have at least 2 years of experience with Shopify or other ecommerce platforms.
• You have experience with version control systems (e.g. Github).
• A previous internship or project experience with Shopify or web development is advantageous.

Qualifications:

• You are fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
• You have or are currently following a degree or formal qualification in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.

Skills:

• You have basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• You are familiar with Liquid, Shopify\’s templating language.
• You have an understanding of web development principles and responsive design.
• You have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• You have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• You have good communication skills and eagerness to learn.
