Neuchâtel, Switzerland (and remote work) 80-100%What you can contribute toManage containerised applications on Linux and multi-container environments using Podman and Compose toolsSet up a self-hosted CI/CD infrastructure and establish automated build, test and deployment processesDevelop and operate existing Python applications and microservices; translate SAS scripts from various domains into PythonEnsure monitoring and logging using Grafana, Prometheus and Loki, and manage dashboardsOperate and scale PostgreSQL databases, integration components and storage solutions (NAS, S3)Design systematic tests (end-to-end tests, integration tests and unit tests) and write documentation (user manuals, service descriptions)What makes you uniqueDegree from a (specialised) university in computer science or equivalent training and experience in operating and developing complex IT systemsVery good command of Python, especially in developing and maintaining applications with Flask and GunicornGood knowledge of Linux, Podman or Docker, as well as CI/CD processes and GitHub-based workflowsExperience in monitoring and logging solutions, as well as with PostgreSQL; ideally, knowledge of Apache Camel, NAS or S3Active knowledge of one official language and good knowledge of EnglishIn a few wordsPlay a central role in the development and smooth operation of the automated data processing system for elections and votes. Within a small, highly motivated team, you will notably participate in designing the CI/CD infrastructure and thus contribute decisively to the success of an important digitalisation project in the field of political rights in Switzerland. This position is limited until the end of 2027, as it is linked to a project.
