ownCloud sucht: DevOps Engineer – Services Management (Grafana OSS Observability) (m/w/d)

We are actively seeking a dedicated and experienced DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in Kubernetes operations and Ansible automation. This role will have a specific focus on Grafana Observability Stack in a self-hosted and self-managed setting. The Grafana Observability Stack, encompassing Grafana, Grafana Agent, Loki, Mimir, Tempo, OpenTelemetry, and k6, stands central to our operational insights and performance monitoring. The ideal candidate is not only technically proficient but also inherently curious, always delving into the vast world of open source documentation to unearth the best solutions.

Your responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain and manage the entire Grafana Observability Stack, ensuring its scalability, reliability, and alignment with our operational objectives.
  • Design and implement Ansible playbooks and roles for automation, ensuring seamless integration and high availability of services.
  • Stay updated with the latest in Kubernetes and Ansible developments, ensuring our operations remain cutting-edge.
  • Monitor the health and performance of our Grafana tools, ensuring high availability.
  • Respond promptly to updates, major incidents, and service disruptions, even outside of regular business hours.
  • Uphold and implement security best practices for all managed services within the observability stack.
  • Continuously refine our monitoring, alerting, and observability strategies.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other teams as necessary.

Your profile

  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Cloud Native Service Management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing the Grafana Observability Stack, especially in a self-hosted and self-managed environment.
  • Willingness to respond to updates and major incidents outside of normal business hours.
  • Experience with Keycloak, OpenLDAP, OnlyOffice Document Server, NATS, or ClamAV, DNS, Postfix, Trivy will be considered a significant advantage.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A collaborative mindset, proactive approach, and a genuine passion for continuous learning.
