Manager, Compliance Advisory

The overall goal of the Ogier Risk & Compliance function is to support the successful execution of Ogier\’s business strategy through the delivery of an integrated risk and compliance culture and programme. R&C aims to support the Boards and senior management in discharging their statutory and regulatory obligations by helping to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, codes, and guidance established by regulators, and by providing leadership and technical excellence in strategic risk and compliance management.

Principal Objectives of the R&C Function:

1. To partner effectively with all areas of the Group in developing and maintaining a robust, proportionate, and consistently-applied Group-wide risk & compliance management framework supporting controlled, focused, and sustainable growth.
2. To provide independent and objective challenge and oversight regarding regulatory risk management in the Group\’s activities and operations.
3. To promote and support an effective risk & compliance culture and conduct across the Group.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Head of Compliance, EMEA, as part of the Group R&C function, you will assume the Compliance Officer and MLRO roles for Ogier Legal in Luxembourg. You will oversee all aspects of regulatory compliance, ensuring Ogier meets its obligations and adheres to industry standards.

Your duties include providing proactive advice on regulatory matters, formulating and reviewing risk assessments, and recommending system and policy enhancements. You will monitor regulatory developments, oversee compliance activities, act as a liaison with authorities, and ensure timely reporting and responses.

• Monitor and report on Luxembourg-specific regulatory developments and ensure local implementation of Group frameworks.
• Oversee compliance monitoring activities, including AML, Data Protection, Market Abuse, Fitness & Probity regulations.
• Act as the primary contact with authorities such as the Luxembourg Bar Council.
• Manage internal audits and AML monitoring programs, ensuring staff training and compliance.
• Support enterprise risk management processes in Luxembourg.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Assist partners in maintaining statutory and regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to risk management strategies and policies.
• Manage risk and compliance registers, provide training, and oversee GDPR and client request issues.
• Collaborate across jurisdictions within Ogier\’s global R&C team.
• Promote continuous improvement in processes and compliance standards.

Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of industry experience, relevant professional qualifications, and proven experience as CO/MLRO, with a strong knowledge of Luxembourg’s regulatory framework and AML standards.
