Project Manager Launcher (m/f/d)

We – MT Aerospace – are part of the OHB Space and Technology Group. As a leading international aerospace company, we develop, manufacture and test essential components for launcher programs such as Ariane, the U.S. Space Launch System (SLS) as well as commercial launcher systems, the Airbus fleet, spacecrafts, satellites and defense applications. Thanks to globally unique manufacturing technologies, we create high-performance products made of metal and fiber composites, such as large load-bearing structures and cryotanks, lightweight structures and fuel as well as pressure tanks that combine maximum performance with minimum weight. We currently employ around 600 people at our headquarter in Augsburg and at the launch site in Kourou (French Guiana).

Your Tasks

• Centralised coordination of the engineering, production development, quality assurance and production departments
• Preparation of regular meetings with the customer regarding development, production and configuration management
• Support document and configuration management
• Representation of the project department on the construction deviation committee and in steering committees
• Participation in quotations and requests for quotations
• Supporting the purchasing department in the management of subcontractors/sub-suppliers (ordering strategy)
• Preparation of internal and external reports and project cockpit
• Representation of MT Aerospace in working groups
• Support with DTC activities and claim management

Your Qualifications

• Graduate engineer (TU/FH) specialising in mechanical engineering, preferably aerospace engineering
• Experience in large and complex project teams
• Experience in the application of common project management processes
• Proven system-oriented thinking and entrepreneurial behaviour
• Business fluent in written and spoken English
• Basic knowledge of French desirable
• Confident handling of MS Office, MS Project, Teamcenter and SAP
