Head of Analysis & Simulation (m/f/d)
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for leading, motivating and developing the analysis and simulation team, including resource planning and mentoring to enhance technical and methodological skills. Training the team in new methods and technologies
- Defining and communicating clear, company-compliant departmental goals, as well as planning, prioritising and monitoring analysis and simulation projects, including resource allocation, budget and time control, ongoing performance monitoring and strategy adjustment
- Performing mathematical and statistical calculations and developing, validating and applying suitable simulation models for the realistic representation, forecasting and optimisation of technical systems and processes
- Providing technical advice and support to specialist departments and continuously optimising calculation models and analysis tools to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Preparing reports and presentations and communicating regularly with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensuring quality by identifying and correcting errors and standardising calculation and analysis procedures in accordance with applicable specifications
- Selecting, implementing and further developing suitable analysis and simulation technologies, optimising and automating processes (including AI-supported workflows) and working closely with other departments to develop efficient, simulation-based solutions
- Responsible planning, monitoring and control of the departmental budget and ensuring that all projects are carried out in line with costs
- Analysis and integration of new technologies to optimise methods, processes and workflows, as well as targeted use of AI to increase efficiency, improve the quality of results and reduce redesigns
Qualifications
- Completed degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or a comparable qualification
- Experience in leading teams and extensive professional experience in a comparable position, preferably in aerospace or mechanical engineering
- Very good knowledge of MS Office and experience with Siemens NX, Teamcenter and Catia V5, as well as in numerical analysis with finite difference methods, FEM and fluid network models (e.g. Ansys Fluent, Sinda/Fluint, FloCAD, Patran P- Thermal, Abaqus, Nastran)
- Strong solution orientation, analytical thinking, cost awareness and methodological competence
- Very good German and good English skills as well as strong communication skills
