• Team Leader Software Development Realtime (m/f/d)
• Your Tasks

The Chapter Lead Software Development Realtime is responsible for the development of real-time software and hardware-related solutions.

The role includes programming in PLC and embedded environments, supporting the selection of hardware components, designing and implementing bus systems, and translating machine safety requirements into technical solutions.

• Actively contribute to projects and support project teams in the preparation of proposals and quotations
• Provide functional and disciplinary leadership, management, and continuous development of the team in compliance with legal requirements and internal policies
• Ensure the efficient and effective operation of the team
• Analyze short- to medium-term staffing requirements, contribute to resource planning, and coordinate with project and department management
• Recruit and onboard new employees in a structured manner in collaboration with department management and HR
• Plan resource allocation based on competencies, project requirements, and employee motivation, while driving team development and capability building
• Advise team members on complex technical topics, ensure effective knowledge transfer, and support conflict resolution within the team
• Introduce and optimize processes and tools, collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, and monitor market and technology trends to derive relevant actions
• Establish and enforce software processes, architecture standards, coding guidelines, and related practices in alignment with the specific requirements of real-time systems
• Work closely with project teams, software architects, systems engineers, and the Platforms & Standards organization
• Coordinate worldwide software commissioning and deployment activities
• Serve as the interface between Software Engineering and Hardware Engineering
• Your Qualifications
• Completed degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field of study
• Several years of experience in the development of hardware-related software solutions
• Several years of experience in both disciplinary and functional leadership of development teams
• Strong interpersonal skills with excellent communication abilities, a high level of collaboration, analytical thinking, creativity, empathy, and a structured, solution-oriented approach to work
• High personal integrity, objectivity, and persuasiveness, combined with the ability to convey technical knowledge clearly and effectively
• Proven leadership capabilities with experience in team management, employee motivation, talent development, as well as confident decision-making and delegation skills
• Strategic and business-oriented mindset with a strong helicopter view, a high focus on results and cost efficiency, and a solid understanding of products, technologies, and current trends within the area of responsibility
