Position: Systems Engineer for Telecommunication Missions (m/f/d) – permanent employment in Bremen.

Responsibilities

• Support the System Engineering Manager in defining the satellite architecture
• Work in collaboration with Architects and Subsystem Engineers
• Support the configuration and management of the satellite’s internal and external interfaces (e.g. launcher interfaces)
• Analyse functional and interface requirements for the satellite
• Support spacecraft validation and verification on system level
• Flow down the satellite requirements to subsystem‑level specifications
• Ensure compliance with the satellite technical requirements
• Coordinate technical system budgets (electrical power, propellant, telemetry, command, pointing, mass properties)
• Support the generation of AIT plans and operation plans
• Oversee satellite test preparation and evaluate test results
• Define test specifications for system‑level tests and verification campaigns
• Support the set‑up and maintenance of spacecraft databases and simulators
• Prepare for launch and flight phases, including launcher interfaces and operations data
• Contribute to project risk management

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering, physics, aerospace engineering or equivalent
• Professional experience in satellite studies (phases A/B) and in proposal/implementation projects (phases B2/C/D)
• Experience in technical negotiations with the customer
• Self‑managed and pro‑active working style
• Ability to work with and implement processes
• Ability to work in a teamVery good knowledge of English and German
