Position: Systems Engineer for Telecommunication Missions (m/f/d) – permanent employment in Bremen.
Responsibilities
- Support the System Engineering Manager in defining the satellite architecture
- Work in collaboration with Architects and Subsystem Engineers
- Support the configuration and management of the satellite’s internal and external interfaces (e.g. launcher interfaces)
- Analyse functional and interface requirements for the satellite
- Support spacecraft validation and verification on system level
- Flow down the satellite requirements to subsystem‑level specifications
- Ensure compliance with the satellite technical requirements
- Coordinate technical system budgets (electrical power, propellant, telemetry, command, pointing, mass properties)
- Support the generation of AIT plans and operation plans
- Oversee satellite test preparation and evaluate test results
- Define test specifications for system‑level tests and verification campaigns
- Support the set‑up and maintenance of spacecraft databases and simulators
- Prepare for launch and flight phases, including launcher interfaces and operations data
- Contribute to project risk management
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in engineering, physics, aerospace engineering or equivalent
- Professional experience in satellite studies (phases A/B) and in proposal/implementation projects (phases B2/C/D)
- Experience in technical negotiations with the customer
- Self‑managed and pro‑active working style
- Ability to work with and implement processes
- Ability to work in a teamVery good knowledge of English and German
