Satellite Operations System Engineer (m / f / d) Galileo Service Operation Support

Your Tasks

1. You will report to the project manager (m / f / d) and will be responsible for the execution of the technical activities including:
2. Lead the technical queries and anomaly investigations in collaboration with the satellite operations teams.
3. Coordinate with the external stakeholders involved in the space segment maintenance activities in the frame of the weekly Anomaly Review Board and other technical meetings.
4. Coordinate with the internal System and Subsystem teams for technical expertise.
5. Design and validate the recovery actions with the help of experts and support their implementation in-flight.
6. Process and analyse the telemetry and maintain the supporting tools and infrastructure.
7. Participate in the preparation of technical proposals for the customer.
8. Contribute to the development of our activities within Galileo.
9. You will also have the opportunity to support the other Galileo projects of the Navigation department. In this frame, you will report to the Lead Operations Engineer.
10. Prepare the operational products for the satellites to be launched.
11. Validate the operational products on the satellite test bench.
12. Participate as an Operations Engineer (m / f / d) in the operation preparation campaigns (Simulation, test campaigns).

Your Qualifications

1. Degree in aerospace engineering or equivalent.
2. Good knowledge of satellite systems; experience in satellite operations is a plus.
3. Pro-active and self-managed working style.
4. Ability to work in a team.
5. Working level proficiency in written and spoken English; German or other language skills are advantageous.
6. Willing to travel to our customer’s sites.
