Technical Lead (Java / Kubernetes) Location: Zurich area, Switzerland (Hybrid) Permanent & full-time position We're supporting a well-established technology company in the financial services space that is looking for a hands‑on Technical Lead to help shape and scale a mission-critical software platform. The role combines technical leadership with hands‑on engineering, working on modern backend systems in a regulated environment with a strong focus on quality, scalability, and reliability. Key Responsibilities
Design and develop scalable backend services using Java. Drive technical decisions, architecture, and engineering best practices. Take ownership of features from design through deployment and production. Support developers through coaching, reviews, and technical guidance. Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to deliver robust solutions. Requirements
Several years of software engineering experience with strong Java backend expertise. Previous experience in a technical leadership role, or leading technical projects. Solid experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines. Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native architectures. Fluent German and English. Good to Have
Experience with AWS and Infrastructure as Code. Frontend exposure with TypeScript and Angular/React. Background in financial services or other regulated industries. Experience with Python, AI/ML, or platform engineering. If this is a role for you, please apply with your latest CV.
