You'll play a key role in designing, maintaining and continuously improving CI/CD pipelines, working closely with development and infrastructure teams to make software delivery faster, more reliable and more efficient.
What you'll be doing
- Design, develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines across development, testing and production environments
- Automate build, test and deployment processes
- Work with development and infrastructure teams to improve software delivery workflows
- Configure and optimise CI/CD tooling including Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD
- Troubleshoot pipeline issues and identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability and efficiency
- Work with containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell or Python
- Support performance testing and continuous improvement of release processes
- Maintain technical documentation and contribute to Agile delivery practices
What we’re looking for
We're looking for someone with a strong hands‑on background in CI/CD, DevOps or Build & Release Engineering, who enjoys improving the way software is delivered.
You’ll ideally have:
- Several years' experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automation
- Strong hands‑on experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD or comparable tooling
- Good scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell and/or Python
- Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- A good understanding of modern DevOps and software delivery practices
- Experience troubleshooting and optimising complex build and deployment pipelines
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
- German and English language skills
The opportunity
This is a 6-month contract within a large-scale Swiss banking environment, where you'll have the opportunity to do more than simply maintain existing pipelines.
You’ll be involved in improving automation, streamlining release processes and helping shape how software is delivered at scale.
The role is based in Bern, with 2-3 days per week expected on‑site and the remainder working remotely.
