Finance and Accounting Team Lead

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Finance and Accounting Team Lead to be based in our Hannover location.

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for preparing proper monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) and the German Accounting Regulation (RechVersV), including statutory reporting.
• You have knowledge of reporting and accounting in accordance with IFRS 17 or are willing to familiarize yourself with this topic.
• You will ensure that all business transactions are recorded completely and correctly in the general ledger and in the actuarial subledger.
• You will continuously develop processes and interfaces in accounting and optimize existing procedures.
• You will perform analyses and prepare meaningful reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• You will take on the technical and disciplinary management as well as the further development of a five‑person team.
• You will be the central contact person for auditors and tax advisors.

Requirements

• You have completed commercial training and/or further training as a financial or accounting clerk (m/f/d).
• You have several years of professional experience in accounting.
• You have initial management experience or senior project experience.
• You are keen to continuously develop and motivate your team.
• You work analytically, conceptually, and in a highly structured manner – and maintain an overview even when dealing with complex issues.
• You have good written and spoken English skills.
