IT Manager – Microsoft / Cloud – Sports Tech – Leipzig
We are looking for an experienced IT Manager to lead and drive the success of a growing, dynamic IT department that provides cutting-edge software solutions to worldwide sporting events.
This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with solid leadership skills and deep technical knowledge to guide a young team and shape the future of IT within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead & Develop a Young IT Team: Manage a team of 7 IT professionals and provide guidance to develop their skills and performance.
- Optimise IT Processes & Systems: Oversee office IT and event IT systems, driving improvements, troubleshooting, and ensuring a smooth, integrated operation.
- Technical Expertise: Apply your knowledge of Microsoft tools (PowerBI, SharePoint, Dynamics365) and other technologies such as Linux, networks, cloud, and Azure to solve complex IT challenges.
- Project Management: Plan, execute, and deliver IT projects efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and technology.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with internal stakeholders to optimise IT processes and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Training & Development: Identify the training needs of the team and help them to continuously grow their technical and professional skills.
- Budget & Administration: Manage the department’s IT budget, ensuring adherence to company processes and policies.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience: 4+ years of IT leadership experience with proven team management skills.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong expertise in Microsoft tools, especially PowerBI, SharePoint, and Dynamics365. Additional experience with Linux, networks, cloud, and Azure is a plus.
- Language Skills: Fluency in German and English is essential (French is a bonus).
- Leadership Skills: Able to lead and motivate a young, growing team, providing direction and support where needed.
- Problem-Solving: Stress-resistant with the ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility: Willing to travel and attend international sports events as required.
