Role And Responsibilities
As an Engagement Manager, you will lead the team through an efficient and effective problem‑solving process from initial hypothesis based on deep industry and function know‑how through convergence on a solution. You will ensure that recommendations are bold, practical, relevant and cohesive. The role demands thought leadership at the strategic level, command of project leadership and stakeholder management capabilities, and strong communication skills to forge strong relationships.
Your Attributes And Experience
- At least 6 years of relevant experience, ideally with a top‑tier strategy consulting firm (or similar organization) or with industry experience from a strategy department or in‑house consulting.
- In‑depth knowledge of the Retail & Consumer Goods industry.
- A strong background in strategic problem solving.
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills and ability to conduct and leverage sophisticated analyses to identify trends, draw conclusions, and present recommendations.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both formal and informal settings.
- Willingness to travel part of the working week.
- Know‑how to take the initiative, seek out opportunities to learn new skills and put the ones you’ve already got to great use.
- Not just intelligence, but creativity too: you’ll be ready to come up with novel ideas to solve our clients’ biggest problems.
- An undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program.
- Fluent in German and English.
- A willingness to work fluidly and respectfully with our incredibly talented team.
