Healthcare & Life Sciences – Associate & Engagement Manager (m/f/d) – Germany at Oliver Wyman. The Health & Life Sciences (HLS) practice helps clients in the payer, provider, digital health, and life sciences sectors realize their organizational and operational visions.

What You Will Do

Experienced professionals bring us the know-how to make lasting change for our clients and our company. We position ourselves as a pure player in strategy consulting with deep industry- and discipline-specific knowledge. Associates break down complex problems, plan and execute analysis, and craft recommendations. Engagement Managers lead projects, ensure that recommendations are correct, practical, sensible, relevant and cohesive, and manage teams to deliver the work. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are required.

• ASSOCIATES will break down complex problems into discrete tasks, identify core issues, plan and execute analysis, and direct junior consultants.
• ENGAGEMENT MANAGERS are on-scene leaders who run projects day to day, guide the problem-solving process from start to finish, and ensure that recommendations are actionable and aligned with client needs.

What You Will Bring

We value diverse backgrounds and seek high-caliber individuals. Preference will be given to candidates with:

• 4-10 years of relevant experience, ideally with a top-tier strategy consulting firm (or similar)
• In-depth knowledge of the Health & Life Sciences sector
• Strong analytical and synthesis skills and ability to conduct and leverage sophisticated analyses to identify trends, draw conclusions and present recommendations
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both formal and informal settings
• Fluency in English and German
• An undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program
• Willingness to travel
• Initiative and ability to learn and apply new skills
• Creativity and ability to generate novel ideas to solve clients’ problems
• Aptitude for analytical work and the ability to identify key issues in complex challenges
• A collaborative, respectful approach to working with a talented team
