Your Responsibilities

- Act as RAC business partner and subject matter expert for R&D, QARA, Manufacturing & Supply Chain across EMEA

  • Actively contribute as a member of both Olympus’ Hamburg-based EMEA RAC team and the wider pan-European RAC organisation
  • Advise management and business functions on healthcare compliance, anti-corruption, third-party (supplier) management, and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Conduct risk assessments, monitoring, and testing activities to support EMEA and Group compliance priorities
  • Drive initiatives to mitigate RAC risks through the development and continuous improvement of policies, processes, and controls
  • Design and deliver targeted RAC training, communication, and awareness initiatives
  • Lead RAC-related projects and processes, partnering with business functions to develop compliant solutions that support business objectives
  • Report on Compliance Management System effectiveness through dashboards and KPIs
  • Support the RAC Privacy and Information Security organisation as required
  • Promote a culture of compliance and integrity, serve as a role model for ethical conduct, and maintain expertise in relevant laws, regulations, industry standards, and emerging developments

Your qualification

- Degree in Business Administration, Law, or a comparable field of study

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in compliance, risk management, legal, or regulatory affairs, ideally within the MedTech, pharmaceutical, or broader life sciences industry
  • Proven ability to advise and influence business stakeholders on matters in scope of responsibility
  • Experience drafting compliance policies and leading projects end-to-end
  • Exposure to monitoring, testing, or internal investigations and familiarity with Privacy and Information Security requirements (e.g., GDPR, Cybersecurity, NIS2) is an asset
  • Fluent written and spoken German and English
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills, with the ability to assess complex situations, identify risks, and develop pragmatic solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain compliance topics to non-specialist audiences at all organisational levels
  • High level of integrity, reliability, and professional discretion in handling confidential matters
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, service-oriented mindset, with the ability to build effective relationships across functions and cultures
  • Willingness to travel as needed
