Your Responsibilities
Work location: Hamburg, Germany (EMEA headquarters); applications are welcome from candidates already based in Hamburg or willing to relocate to Hamburg.
- Strategic definition, alignment, and prioritization of communication needs for ~9,000 global manufacturing employees in close collaboration with business partners and site leadership
- Identification and analysis of target group requirements, communication gaps, and continuous improvement opportunities
- Adaptation of global key messages into audience-specific formats and creation of impactful communication assets
- Evaluation, standardization, and further development of global communication infrastructure, channels, and formats (e.g., employee magazines, digital signage, toolkits, M365)
- Establishment, enablement, and ongoing steering of an international network of communication counterparts across manufacturing sites
- Development and provision of frameworks, templates, and guidelines to ensure consistent, efficient, and high-quality communication execution
- Monitoring, analysis, and reporting of communication KPIs, including continuous optimization based on insights and feedback
- Identification, collection, and global scaling of best practices to drive synergies and improve effectiveness
- Ensuring consistent branding, storytelling, and best-in-class editorial standards across all sites
- Driving innovation and digitalization of internal communications, including the adoption of AI and future-oriented tools
Your qualification
- University degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., Master’s) preferred
- Extensive professional experience (approx. 10+ years) in international communications, ideally within medtech, manufacturing, or industrial environments
- Proven experience working in global, matrix organizations with complex stakeholder landscapes
- Strong stakeholder management, consulting mindset, and ability to influence decision-making through effective communication
- Demonstrated experience in leading and steering international, cross-functional, and agile teams without direct authority
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex topics in a clear and engaging way
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, including experience in KPI tracking and performance measurement
- Solid expertise in modern communication tools and platforms, particularly M365 and digital communication ecosystems
- High level of intercultural competence, collaboration skills, and adaptability in diverse environments
- Flexibility to collaborate across global time zones and willingness to travel occasionally
