Senior Director, Commercial Finance, EMEA (m/f/d)

As Senior Director, Commercial Finance EMEA, you will be a key strategic partner to the leadership of Olympus’ Gastrointestinal Solutions Division (GIS), helping shape the commercial and financial direction of a business generating annual revenue in excess of €1.2bacross Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Partnering closely with Regional Business Unit Leaders across Gastrointestinal, Endotherapy, and Service & Repair, you will turn financial performance and market insights into clear actions that support sustainable growth, profitability and smarter investment decisions. You will lead the EMEA GIS Business Finance team, overseeing short and long-term financial planning, P&L and working capital performance, and the evaluation of strategic commercial opportunities. Beyond the numbers, this is a highly visible leadership role with the opportunity to influence senior stakeholders across EMEA and globally. You will challenge thinking, identify opportunities, remove barriers and bring a strong commercial finance perspective to the decisions shaping the future of the business. You will also provide leadership and guidance, as required, to the EMEA Commercial Finance team supporting Olympus’ Scientific Solutions Division (SIS), giving the role an even broader regional impact.

Your responsibilities

• • Act as a strategic finance partner to EMEA GIS leadership, providing insights and recommendations to drive growth, profitability and business performance
  • - Lead financial planning, budgeting and forecasting for the EMEA GIS business, covering P&L, working capital and key performance measures
  • - Develop short and long-term financial plans, translating business and portfolio priorities into clear financial targets
  • - Provide sales, pricing and margin analysis to identify opportunities and support commercial decision-making
  • - Partner with regional, cluster and country Finance teams to track performance, identify risks and opportunities, and drive delivery against financial targets
  • - Prepare financial insights and executive-level materials for EMEA and Global leadership, including the Global Executive Committee
  • - Partner across Finance and other functions to evaluate investments, improve decision-making and remove barriers to financial performance
• • Significant experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A or Finance Business Partnering, ideally within a large, international organisation
  • - A strong track record of partnering with senior leadership, using financial insight to shape strategy and commercial decisions
  • - Strong understanding of P&L management, forecasting, planning, financial analysis and investment decisions
  • - Proven people leadership experience, with the ability to develop and motivate high-performing, internationally dispersed teams
  • - Confidence to challenge constructively, influence decisions and turn complex financial information into clear business recommendations
  • - Experience working across functions, countries and cultures in a complex matrix organisation; MedTech or a similarly regulated industry would be advantageous
  • - Experience leading through change and transformation, improving processes and translating strategy into execution
  • - A proactive, energetic approach; you'll be someone who creates momentum, takes ownership and drives priorities through to delivery, while listening to different perspectives and adapting when needed
