Global Supply Chain Operational Risk & Business Continuity
- Lead Olympusâs global operational risk and business continuity program, ensuring uninterrupted delivery of critical medical devices by aligning with regional regulations and industry best practices.
- Develop and maintain crisis response frameworks tailored to Olympusâs global supply chain, enabling rapid response to regulatory changes, geopolitical disruptions, and supplier risks.
- Implement data-driven risk management, using analytics to anticipate and mitigate threats, while ensuring compliance with medical device regulations (e.g., ISO 27001).
- Manage supplier security risks globally, focusing on high-risk partners and critical components, with structured risk mitigation and resolution protocols.
- Integrate business continuity management (BCM) across global operations, enhancing recovery capabilities and infrastructure resilience.
- Lead cross-functional crisis simulations to validate response strategies and operational readiness worldwide.
Global Supply Chain Security
- Lead Olympusâs global supply chain security program, safeguarding the integrity of medical devices across the value chain.
- Establish and enforce security policies for suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics partners, ensuring compliance with global trade security programs (CTPAT, PIP, AEO, WCO).
- Conduct risk assessments and audits for carriers and suppliers, ensuring legal compliance and operational security optimization.
- Engage with industry organizations (e.g., PCSC, TAPA, HAD) to stay ahead of evolving threats and drive best practices.
- Lead global investigations and champion continuous improvement through emerging technologies and innovative solutions.
Leadership & Strategic Operations
- Set strategic direction for global operations, ensuring efficient supply chain, facilities, and administrative functions with full budget and P&L accountability.
- Mentor and develop global teams, fostering a high-performance culture focused on compliance, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Drive operational excellence by setting clear objectives, managing risks, and delivering high-quality outcomes on time.
- Lead investment planning and approvals, aligning capital and resource allocation with strategic business goals.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor\’s degree required or equivalent work experience; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the medical device, life sciences, or similar industries, preferably within Global Security, Legal, Supply Chain, Logistics, Risk Management, Quality Assurance, or related functions.
- Expertise in conveyance security and theft investigation.
- Proven experience collaborating with Supply Chain professionals in the pharmaceutical or related industries, including roles within Operations Management, Global Logistics / Logistics Compliance, Import / Export Operations, Freight Forwarding, Contract Negotiation, and Licensed Customs Brokerage.
- Direct experience working in or alongside Corporate Security departments/functions.
- Strong background in leading and conducting investigations related to theft, product counterfeiting, diversion, and supply chain security breaches is highly desirable.
- Experience working with Legal / IP and other departments pursuant to addressing IP, patient/consumer health concerns is preferred.
- Law enforcement or military background is a plus.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to drive change, build and develop teams, and adapt leadership styles to engage stakeholders effectively.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to present to executive leadership, facilitate discussions, and gain stakeholder buy-in.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a strategic mindset to anticipate business needs, identify solutions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Kaizen, Six Sigma, Total Quality Management).
- Expertise in relationship management, with the ability to consult, build trust, and foster collaboration across all organizational levels.
