Senior Software Engineer (Node.js) – Ads & Ancillaries (m/f/d)

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our AAA (Ads & Ancillaries) Team at Omio. You will be instrumental in solving user problems and enhancing the product experience for travelers worldwide, focusing on monetizing user traffic while maintaining excellent user experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing robust solutions with modern technologies for use across all Omio frontends (mobile, desktop, apps).
• Collaborating with your team to test ideas quickly, analyze results, and iterate to improve our products.
• Evaluating new languages, libraries, and frameworks to ensure continuous innovation, and sharing best practices across teams.
• Building reusable frontend components that are dynamically mounted in React-based frontends.
• Applying engineering expertise to automate processes and guide team decisions.

Our Tech Stack includes:

• Typescript, Node.js, React.js, React Native, ES6, Rest API/GraphQL, Styled components, Jest, Cypress, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub, Jenkins

Qualifications:

• Over 5 years of software development experience, writing clean, effective, version-controlled code.
• Pragmatic approach to solving complex, multi-domain problems with modular, MVP-focused solutions.
• Proficiency in automation, deployment, monitoring, and support across stacks and technologies.
• Experience in performance tuning, benchmarking, and stress testing production systems.
• Strong team collaboration skills, including guiding teammates and cross-team communication.
